Christmas Morning the kids woke up to a few more Santa gifts. Mommy was able to be a little more prepared and could get pictures of the Santa gifts before the kids tour into them. While the kids were enjoying some of their new toys, Mama was in the kitchen making Christmas Morning Breakfast. Hamilton breakfasts are always yummy.
After breakfast we headed back to the nursing home to visit Papa. Christmas Day is special in the Adams Family because it is also Papa's birthday. Papa opened his birthday gifts and even felt like coming out to the house for a few hours for some turkey and dressing that afternoon. Oh yes, we do HUGE breakfast and then HUGE late lunch which was turkey, dressing, pork loin and all the works.
We ate all that wonderful food, and then on Sunday night Katherine and I made the traditional burrito run. I wish I could say it was taco bell or taco bueno, but no, this is way better, or worse. We (mostly the kids) love crunchy burritos from Alsups. Alsups is a gas station primarily in West Texas. The burritos are the deep fried burritos and have been sitting under a heat lamp, hopefully for most of the day. We have determined you either love it or hate it, and there is no in between. However, you can't knock it until you try one. We have now met several friends that know and love Alsups. One friend refers to the burritos as Gut Grenades.
