My blogging for 2012 has already seemed to take a back seat. We will see if we can get back on track. This time of year is always crazy busy! Connor is playing basketball through our church and an organization called Upward. It is wonderful and a great way to learn the game while sharing Jesus with others. We have had three games so far and I have managed to forget my camera three times. Maybe I can do better today (his game is in about 3 hours)! Today also marks the first day of baseball. I cannot believe it is that time already. Our coach gets our roster today and the boys can actually start practices Monday. Connor starts coach pitch this year which I am sure will be both very exciting and very frustrating for him.
Addison is now dancing with Ms. Jaime who is teaching a couple of classes through a gym up the street. We had some problems with the last studio and without boring everyone with all the details the studio closed and we were a bit stuck! Ms. Jaime was Addison's favorite teacher who had left a few months before the studio closed because she saw the writing on the wall. Oh well, this new arrangement is working out great and I am looking forward to June when Addison will have her first dance recital.
We have all found a new hobby - Puzzles! I think we spent most of the past two weeks working four different 500 piece puzzles and loved it. It is a nice way to decompress from the world - it is just very had to stop. My problem is I am not sure what we are going to do with them. I am finding it very difficult to take them apart and put them up, and well they are beginning to clutter things which means now they are stressing me out....
Jason is continuing to do fabulous at his new job and is loving it. I cannot believe it has already been 6 months. He still works a lot at night but at least for the next few months he is excited to have a partner staying up late with him. Yes, that would be me. Busy season has begun at work. Today marks 2 weeks down!!! So far so good. This time of year is a bit of a challenge - extended work hours, games, household chores, time with family, birthdays - I really try to stay organized and on top of things but inevitably things will fall through the crack. Like yesterday, I forgot Addison was suppose to take a lunch for her teddy bear picnic. Oops! Thank heavens Jason had just left the house and was able to get her something together. This time of year is most definitely a two person gig!
That is what we have been up to this past January, nothing real exciting and we are actually rejoicing and Praising the Lord for some down time.
